Hello! My name is Tylor Skory. I am a freelance website designer. I love making websites. I currently live in the Detroit, MI area. You can get a pretty good feel for a person by reading their personal “What I like” check list, so here’s mine.
✓ Making websites (you would hope so, right?)
✓ Learning more about making websites (tutorials are amazing)
✓ Reading interesting books (fiction and nonfiction)
✓ Pizza (I could eat it every night... seriously)
✓ Writing, filming and other various hobbies
✓ Enjoying life (I’m pretty good at this)
I am always expanding my knowledge in the field of web design. It’s amazing to look back and see how far I have come in such a short amount of time!
If I were at the Academy Awards right now, after getting nominated for “Best website of the year” (hey, I can dream), I would definitely make a shout out to Adobe. Their products make everything so easy and fun.
But, I wouldn’t be anywhere without the amazing support of the web development community. Everyone I have met has been so wonderful. It’s only with their help that I am as learned as I am. Thank you to the completely random people who take time out of their day to help some kid online with a simple and stupid problem. You guys rock!
The online world changes so quickly! Especially websites styles and designs. I have been watching it go through it’s phases. 2008 design trends brought a lot of fun stuff like 2.0, grunge, paper and more. I like testing them out like a pair of shoes - seeing which design fits best and looks coolest. It’s an extraordinarily fun ride and I can’t wait to see where else it takes me!
